CoVid-19 Update

INFORMATION CONCERNING YOUR TRAVEL

We are sending regular updates to our clients, partners and friends about the current situation regarding COVID-19. You will always find the latest update on this page.

September 03, 2020 Update

Firstly, we would like to address our sincere gratitude to our loyal clients, who are rebooking their travels into 2021 with us here at Wanderlux. Your support has been vital in our survival and your encouragement has enabled us to remain positive for the future. We are beginning to notice higher spend bookings are being made outside of the EU, alongside those European trips as well as UK staycations. We have had to adapt for our clients, to open up our portfolio to smaller getaways such as long weekends away and even the odd one-night wonders. We have very much enjoyed to continue to make your holidays happen, even if the bigger trips are currently on hold.

As before and always, the safety and security of our clients is paramount in maintaining our ethos of trust, and as such it is vital that we continue to be honest, factual and informative on the fluid changes occurring in across the travel sector. We continue to offer this intelligence and support at no fee, to reassure and reassess the governmental restrictions.

Please continue to contact us for any travel related queries, no matter how big or small. Through our incredible global ground team, we continue to receive updates on worldwide plans ahead of media announcements, as well as monitor changes in the WHO guidelines and UK Governmental travel corridors.

July 21, 2020 Update

As the world begins to “reopen”, it remains to be our policy that you are our biggest priority. The safety and security of our clients is paramount in maintaining our ethos of trust, and as such it is vital that we continue to be honest, factual and informative on the fluid changes occurring in across the travel sector.

As media builds up hope on accessibility of travel, it is important for us to highlight that there are some strict T&C’s around some entry policies around the world. Our personalised travel service is more important for you now than ever, because the last thing we would want to see is for you to travel somewhere to only be returned because of incorrect admin. Our promise to you is information. As we continue to closely monitor the WHO guidelines and keep open communications with our teams on the ground, it is important to highlight that the Foreign Travel Advice still remains as follows:

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office currently advises British nationals against all but essential international travel. Travel to some countries and territories is currently exempted.

This list of exempted countries is based on FCO advice from assessing the risk of travelling to specific countries. For the countries you may be able to return from without self-isolation, view the list of travel corridors for England and guidance for Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Exempt countries and territories list

Countries and territories exempt from advice against ‘all but essential’ international travel are listed below. These are not exclusive to admin-requirements such as Covid-19 test results, tests upon arrival or additional documentation for arrival.

Austria, Andorra, Belgium. Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (overseas territories of France are listed separately, where included in the exemption), Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, The Netherlands (not including the constituent countries and special municipalities located in the Dutch Caribbean), Norway, Poland, Portugal (only The Azores and Madeira), San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey

April 26, 2020 Update

During these challenging and stressful times, many are offering support and understanding which has been incredibly amazing to receive – so, personally I would like to thank you all.

As you know and have likely experienced, the travel sector has been gravely impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak, both logistically and economically. Many have had to postpone or cancel their holidays, their bucket list trips, even weddings and honeymoons. It has been an emotional rollercoaster for us all and I can’t begin to imagine the heartbreak some of you are feeling right now. Wanderlux continues to pledge our guarantee to ensure the safety of our clients. I continue to work around the clock to provide advice for my clients, adapt to alternative travel arrangements and maintain supplier connections as I believe that this is a responsibility that should not be taken lightly.

Travellers up to 01 August, 2020

In line with the latest governmental guidelines for UK and International travellers, we are keeping a close eye on the Foreign Travel Updates. For those travelling with Wanderlux before 01 August 2020, we have worked through alternative arrangements with you to offer solutions and minimise financial risk. Where possible we have moved your travel dates, and where preferred, we have mitigated all Wanderlux cancellation fees. Based on an educational guess and role responsibility, I have advised Wanderlux shall not support any new travel bookings before October 2020, and where requested, we are working with our partners to remove deposits and therefore minimise financial risk. This has been in agreement with Wanderlux’s suppliers, guides, ground agents and partners, to which I am incredibly grateful.

Where changes or cancellations are made, some cost implications may sadly be unavoidable. These costs may be due to date changes, seasonality influx’s or supplier’s inability to refund. Regrettably, these costs do have to be passed on, but please be advised Wanderlux do everything possible to minimise or avoid these.

For all new day dreamers, or advice seekers, please note that I am offering my support and assistance free of charge to anyone who wishes to get in touch. This includes travellers who haven’t booked through Wanderlux. If I can help and answer any questions then I will do for everyone.
