Join the 77-meter expedition yacht Aqua Lares (formerly Legend) operating a specialised 7-night, 8-day expedition from August 11–18, 2026, to view the total solar eclipse in East Greenland. Guided by NASA astronaut Dr. Kathy Sullivan, the voyage takes place in Scoresby Sund, offering a prime, high-latitude viewing location in the path of totality.

Dr Kathy Sullivan

Share the deck rail with two extraordinary experts in their respective fields: NASA astronaut Dr. Kathy Sullivan, and our professional natural history photographer. Both will share their expertise and passion for exploration, guiding you through the art and science of capturing and experiencing this once- in-a-lifetime spectacle.
Legendary explorer Kathy Sullivan is a geologist, oceanographer, US Navy officer and NASA astronaut (three Shuttle missions/500 hours in space), Kathy has explored every continent, every ocean and space itself. She has served as Mission Manager and in-flight scientist aboard NASA’s high-altitude WB-57F aircraft and as Chief of the Astronaut Office’s Mission Development Branch.
Kathy’s NASA awards and commendations include the Medal for Outstanding Leadership, the twice-awarded Exceptional Service Medal, and the Spaceflight Medal, which she’s received three times.
